This site runs without user accounts, without forms and without a newsletter. Here is what data comes up anyway.

Controller

Hosting and server logs

The site runs on our own server at Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. On each request the server processes technically necessary access data: IP address, time, requested address, browser type and operating system. This data is required to operate the service and to fend off attacks; the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. It is not combined with other sources.

Settings in your browser

Scene, volumes and the ambience mix are stored in your browser's local storage so they are there on your next visit. This information never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us. You can delete it at any time through your browser's site data. A further entry remembers the language you chose.

Usage measurement

We use Plausible Analytics on our own instance at insights.vinspire.tech. Plausible works without cookies, collects no personal data and builds no cross-device profiles. Only aggregated information is recorded, such as the page visited, the referring page, an approximate country-level region and the device type. The data stays on our server. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in a data-minimising measurement of usage.

Radio streams

When you start the radio, your browser connects directly to SomaFM's servers in the United States. Your IP address is transmitted to SomaFM in the process; a stream cannot technically be played otherwise. This only happens after you choose to play. If you enter your own stream address, the same applies towards that provider.

YouTube

If you select YouTube as the music source, a player provided by Google is loaded. Google may set cookies, process your IP address and transfer data to the United States; if you are signed in to Google, usage may be linked to your account. The player is only loaded once you actively select this source — the legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you can withdraw at any time with future effect by switching the source. Installing as an app

If you install the site as an app, your browser stores program files and images in a local cache so it starts without a connection. This data also stays on your device.

Your rights

You have the right to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing based on a legitimate interest. Please contact info@vinspire.tech. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority; for us this is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg.

Animated anime-style scenes, lofi radio or YouTube, and a mixer for rain, wind, birds, fireplace and thunder. Runs in the browser, no sign-up, installable as an app.
